Tai Chi: Healthy Alternative Exercise May Help Balance, Protect Bones

Tai Chi (pronounced tie CHEE) is an ancient form of Chinese martial
arts. For older people at risk of breaking osteoporosis-weakened bones, Tai Chi offers a way to build muscle strength and improve balance and body awareness. This could prove to be as important as lifting weights and nutrition in preventing the sometimes devastating consequences of osteoporosis.
